This is an image etched in pure gold, of Nakoda Parshwanath, who accepted the order of Digamber or monkhood at an early age. He went on to attain Omniscience and preach the principles of detachment, and self-attainment. He is worshiped by the people of the Jain community, who follow his rules of conduct both as householders and as Digambers.
